Exploring Bath County
Below are a few of our favorite spots. If you’re staying at the hotel, there are many other activities listed here.
Eat & Drink
Bacova Beer Co.
Bacova Beer Co. is a local gem just steps from the hotel on Main Street, serving great craft beer and delicious food for both lunch and dinner. Very casual vibe and good for groups.
Warm Springs Gallery Cafe
Bath County is a huge art destination, and the Warm Springs Gallery is one of the best places to see it. While you’re there, stop by their garden café next door - it’s a peaceful spot for sandwiches and one of our favorites!
The Waterwheel Restaurant
For those looking for a nicer dinner spot on Friday night, this is the hands down the best restaurant in Hot Springs. The service is wonderful, the food is delicious, and the seasonal menu never disappoints.
Troddenvale at Oakley Farm
Troddenvale is such a special place. Located on Oakley Farm in Warm Springs, it’s known for its small-batch cider and beautiful setting. On summer Fridays starting at 4 PM, they host Foodlore - a casual evening with local food trucks, music, and community.
The Milk House Market
Milk House Market at The Old Dairy is a great spot for sandwiches and salads. You can order at the counter and enjoy your meal in their garden or take it to go.
Claire’s Cakes & Cafe
While Martha’s Market in the hotel is lovely, if you’re looking for a more casual or budget-friendly breakfast spot, we highly recommend Claire’s Cakes & Café on Main Street, just a few steps from the hotel. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch, and coffee!
Things To Do
The Homestead Pools
The Homestead has two awesome pools to choose from. Spend the day at Allegheny Springs, the outdoor water park with a pool and jacuzzi, or check out the 24-hour indoor pool near the spa.
Golf
The Homestead is famous for its two beautiful golf courses — the Old Course & the Cascades. You can bring your own clubs or rent them at the hotel. Just make sure to call or check the website to book a tee time in advance.
Serenity Garden
Book any spa appointment at the hotel and you’ll have access to the Serenity Garden for the day. With a sauna, steam room, pool, natural spring, and bar, it’s such a lovely place to unwind and relax. You can also purchase a day pass for $75.
Warm Springs Pools
Hot Springs is named for its famous natural warm springs, which have drawn visitors for centuries (including a few of our founding fathers!) to experience their healing powers. It’s one of our favorite ways to relax while in town. Be sure to call ahead to reserve a soak in the pools!
Racquet Sports
Guests can reserve tennis or pickleball courts by calling the hotel directly. The shuttle conveniently provides transportation to and from the courts for those staying on property.
Hiking
Hot Springs offers beautiful hiking for every level. Flag Rock Trail is a short, steep climb with sweeping mountain views (you can see West Virginia on a clear day). Park at The Old Dairy and follow the trail guide here. For a longer but less steep option, start from Main Street near the hotel spa and follow the Deerlick Trail.
